Spray foam insulation is simply the best insulating material available today. It can seal your home from air and moisture intrusion, save on expensive home heating and cooling costs, strengthen your home, and protect your family’s health from dangerous mould, airborne pollutants, and other allergens.
Spray foam Insulation saves on energy costs and lowers utility bills. It is used to seal the entire “building envelope” of your home to prevent air and moisture infiltration. Air infiltrates your home in the form of drafts through walls, sockets, windows, doorways and other penetrations. The need for additional air or vapour barriers is often eliminated, providing additional savings during construction.

HEATLOK SOY® Closed Cell Spray Foam Insulation
The Polyurethane Foam that Georgian
Insulation Systems, insulation contractors in Barrie, installs is Heatlok Soya. This spray foam is an excellent
insulation material for all areas of construction. A modern custom building is
expected to be an energy efficient building. Today’s educated building owners
are demanding the superior, long term efficiency and performance that are only
achieved with spray foam insulation.
Heatlok Soya is
made from renewable vegetable oils and recycled plastics, blended into high
performance spray polyurethane foam. Heatlok Soya meets all the
requirements of the National Building code of Canada and provides in one step, a
long-term thermal resistance, an air barrier material and a vapour barrier. Heatlok Soya provides an R-value of R6 per inch; it also
significantly improves the racking strength of a building by as much as 300%.
Heatlok Soya is installed by trained certified
installers that are members of the Canadian Urethane Foam Contractors
Association, CUFCA. CUFCA is a third party warranty organization that verifies
installation and the quality of foam. We are proud to be part of this
organization.

Sprayed polyurethane foam has an aged R-value of approximately R 6.0 per
inch, enabling it to provide more thermal resistance with less material than any
other type of commercial insulation material. SPF systems are frequently used to
insulate and protect a wide variety of residential, commercial, and industrial
buildings.
Monthly energy and utility savings of 40% or more can be
achieved when compared to the traditional fiberglass products. The cost of
insulating with spray foam insulation can often be recovered in less than 5
years, simply through energy savings alone.
Studies have shown that as much as 40% of a building’s total energy loss is
due to air infiltration. Traditional fiberglass insulation is only stapled, or
placed into the wall cavities and does not seal the stud and wall cavities from
end to end, or top to bottom. Air infiltration can pass through these gaps,
making it far less efficient than Spray Foam. Spray Foam not only adheres to,
but forms to the walls and floors to create a tight seal and insulating barrier
that stops this air leakage.
Spray Foam also boasts the highest R-value
per inch of any commercial insulating material, (upwards of R-6.0, compared with
Fiberglass at R-3.2) making your home more comfortable and less expensive to
heat in the winter, and cool in the summer.
